While dedicating ourselves to raising the standard in Early Years.

We are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to lead and manage a 9 place room in our Langdon Road nursery. This is a great opportunity for an established room leader looking for a new challenge, or an Early Years educator looking to progress in their career and step into a leadership position.

Our safeguarding system is underpinned by a range of policies and procedures which encourage and promote safe working practice across the organisation. We make sure that all our staff are trained and supervised to a high standard so they can provide safe, effective practice.

Skills and knowledge
  • Ability to provide and maintain a high quality, stimulating learning environment.
  • To plan and prepare purposeful learning opportunities using a range of creative approaches which foster curiosity both indoors and out.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and support the team around you.
  • Provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
  • To assist in the development and support of other staff members by communicating effectively, sharing knowledge, experience and delegating tasks appropriately.
  • To co-operate and work effectively with the manager, taking on additional responsibilities/duties where necessary and positively promoting developments in policies and procedures to team members.

Requirements
  • A Level 3 full and relevant qualification in Early Years Childcare for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience of working with under 2's.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • A secure understanding of the EYFS and development matters.
  • An enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude to work.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents.
  • Comply with all Rainbow Day Nurseries' policies and procedures.
  • To participate in training and other learning activities/meetings as required.
  • Hold an appropriate first aid qualification or be willing to undertake one.
  • DBS Clearance.
