As we continue to grow across international markets, we are seeking an experienced and driven Business Manager to lead our commercial activities across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Position Summary: The Business Manager will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of Rainbow products and services. The ideal candidate will develop strategic partnerships, identify market opportunities, and implement sales initiatives to optimize revenue targets. The role requires a strong understanding of agrochemical markets, great management skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy and Planning - Conduct market research to identify potential markets, customer needs, and emerging trends in the agrochemical industry. Identify growth areas, new business opportunities, and trends. Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with Rainbow objectives.
- Sales and Revenue Generation - Drive sales growth by gaining new clients and increasing sales to existing accounts. Collaborate with the sales team to design effective sales campaigns. Develop and manage the sales pipeline.
- Sales Planning and Inventory Management - Conduct sales forecasting based on market demand and business objectives, and develop both short-term and long-term sales plans. Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure inventory levels align with sales forecasts, avoiding stockouts or overstock situations. Monitor sales data and inventory dynamics, providing recommendations to enhance inventory management efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders in the agrochemical industry. Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote its offerings and expand the network.
- Product Promotion and Training - Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that promote Rainbow products and inform potential clients about their benefits. Organize training sessions and workshops for distributors and end-users on product application, benefits, and safety.
- Reporting and Analysis - Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities. Analyze market data to assess the effectiveness of business strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the agrochemical or agricultural industry. Proven track record of achieving sales and business development targets.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of agrochemical products, crop protection solutions, and market dynamics. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry events. Fluent in Business English with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and draft professional reports, presentations, and business proposals.
