Night shifts only:
Sunday to Wednesday evening – 19.00pm – 05.00am
Hourly rate: £26.54 umbrella / O/T £30.72
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Auxiliary / Semi-Skilled Fitter to join our team. This role involves supporting workshop operations, with a strong focus on cleaning and preparing mechanical parts for maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and degrease mechanical components using appropriate equipment and materials
- Assist skilled fitters with basic fitting, assembly, and disassembly tasks
- Prepare parts for inspection, servicing, and reassembly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment]
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Identify and report any damaged or faulty components
- Support general workshop duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a workshop, engineering, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in engineering
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Must have previously worked withn a similar role, within transport, rail, aerospace or automotive industry.
