An excellent opportunity for a Senior Finance Systems and Data Specialist to work within our Finance team based in Darlington on FTC basis (12 months). This is an exciting time to join the team and support the continuous improvement and transformation of the Finance function.
As Senior Finance Systems and Data Specialist, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Managers (Systems and Data) to support the wider Finance team to get maximum value from existing and upcoming technology. You will support the administration of key IT systems, ensuring robust controls are in place for user access and security, as well as being hands-on in supporting system set up and maintenance tasks. You will be key to the success of Finance system and data related implementations and upgrades, assisting with the monitoring of timelines and deliverables, as well as supporting users through the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase of developments; helping to craft test cases and monitor the resolution of bugs and issues.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with and supporting others to implement and use a range of IT systems. You will have effective troubleshooting and analytical skills, as well as the ability to produce high-quality support documentation to enable users to resolve common queries. You will be detail-oriented in your approach to working with data and will apply best practice when inputting, cleansing and interpreting data. Being proactive is key, as is having the ability to organise and plan your work to meet deadlines, whilst demonstrating a positive can-do attitude. Previous experience working in a Finance function is not essential for this role and we welcome applications from all backgrounds.
We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively and in partnership with both wider Finance and our central IT teams to support the implementation and ongoing success of technology projects and improvement initiatives. Excellent communication skills are key for this role to allow you to support with the delivery of system training. Experience of using SunSystems, Q&A, Sharepoint, Power BI and/or Workday would be advantageous, but not essential.
