Rail Freight Group (RFG) is the voice of UK rail freight, and we’re looking for a Policy Manager to join our small, dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the national agenda and support the shift to cleaner, greener logistics. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Policy Manager at Rail Freight Group. The role is located in Bury Place, Central London, but we offer flexible working. The Policy Manager will be responsible for developing and managing policies relevant to rail freight, coordinating with key stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, drafting policy papers and reports, and representing the organisation\'s interests in various forums. In this role, you’ll: Work with our 130+ member companies to identify and shape key policy positions Engage directly with government, industry and stakeholders to promote the case for rail freight Draft consultation responses, policy papers, and advocacy materials Support our forums, events and members across the UK About you Policy Development, Research, and Analysis skills Experience in drafting policy papers and reports Stakeholder Coordination and Representation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to work independently and in a team Familiarity with the rail freight industry is a plus Bachelor\'s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Transportation, or related field.
