About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Design Engineer to join our growing solar energy team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in Electrical Engineering to develop hands-on experience in the design and implementation of residential solar systems across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and propose tailored solar energy system solutions for residential clients using software tools such as Pylonand other specialized applications.
  • Support and oversee the full installation process, including roof solar panel layout, electrical wiring, battery and inverter setup, and grid connection.
  • Coordinate with installers and project teams to ensure technical accuracy, safety compliance, and timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for installation and maintenance workflows.
  • Provide technical input and continuous improvement suggestions for system design and project execution.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Chinese (both written and spoken).
  • IELTS 6.5 or above, or equivalent English proficiency (UK nationals exempt).
  • UK degree, preferably a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Eligible for or currently holding a Post-Study Work (PSW) visa.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and willingness to pursue a UK electrician qualification.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
