The Assistant Manager, Communications supports the Group’s communications efforts across corporate messaging, media relations, reputation management and external engagements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, media and external partners, the role supports the Group’s reputation and institutional positioning through clear, consistent and effective communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support reputation, issues and crisis communications efforts.
  • Support media engagement and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and media stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute proactive media pitching and engagement initiatives (both paid and earned) to strengthen the Group’s visibility and institutional profile.
  • Coordinate media opportunities, including interviews, features and commentary opportunities aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Draft press releases, media responses and related communications materials.
  • Monitor media coverage, online discussions and public sentiment relating to the organisation, and provide updates and analysis where required.

Corporate Narrative & External Engagements

  • Support the development and maintenance of the Group’s corporate narrative, key messaging and communications materials.
  • Develop speeches, statements, talking points and messaging materials for senior management, including organisational announcements, interviews and public engagements.
  • Support alignment and consistency of organisational messaging across the Group and overseas operations.
  • Support communications planning and coordination for corporate events, partnership initiatives, and thought leadership engagements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in communications, media relations, public affairs or related fields.
  • Strong writing, editing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in media relations, media pitching, reputation management or issues management would be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
