Raffles London at The OWO and The OWO Residences by Raffles operates a 120 room and suites flagship hotel at the iconic Old War Office building along with a collection of 85 exceptional branded residences at this landmark destination on Whitehall, including 12 distinct restaurants and bars Including our signature chef Mauro Colagreco. The Guerlain spa and Pillar Wellness, and a 600 seated-capacity grand ballroom.
Scope Of Position
To maintain and repair all colleague uniforms to the highest standards when needed and provide a distinctive, high standard of workmanship when assisting with guest alteration works. To assist with distribution and tracking of staff uniform in a warm and timely manner and work closely with the laundry team to ensure the smooth running of the operation and to avoid any discrepancies. To act as an ambassador of the Raffles during your interaction with guests and colleagues.
Responsibilities
Operation
To communicate any issues or concerns regarding uniform with Laundry supervisor.
To inspect and repair staff uniform when necessary. Should any garment be soiled or damaged beyond redemption, inform the Laundry supervisor.
To ensure all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order. Report any malfunctioning or defects immediately.
To keep the uniform area clean and tidy.
To act as a team player & provide effective day to day communication with colleagues and guests.
To maintain the stock levels of seamstress utilities.
To monitor the quality of returned guest garments; uniform and chef wear from outside contractor.
- To be flexible and adaptable, pressing guest garments and staff uniform as directed by the Laundry Manager / Assistant housekeeper manager / Assistant executive Manager / Head Executive Housekeeper
- To be flexible in your working hours, in-line with business requirements
To follow the Lost Property procedure.
Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager
Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.
Health and Safety
Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures.
Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises, by strict adherence to existing laws, statues and applicable ordinances, and by anticipating possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correcting them or pre-planning a defence against them.
Stimulate and encourage a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
Able to provide exceptional services for the guests with extremely attention to details.
Experience with sewing and embroidery machines
Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering and offering the best service and experiences possible in any situation.
Able to work within a team.
Professional and well-groomed
A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining an immaculate and professional appearance.
An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.

Desirable
Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
