About Raffles London – Raffles London at The OWO on London’s Whitehall marries heritage and luxury in a Grade II* listed Edwardian building with 120 rooms, 85 branded residences, nine restaurants, three bars, a Guerlain spa, and a 600‑seat ballroom. Guests discover inspiring emotions and connections within these storied walls.

Scope of Position: Oversee and lead housekeeping duties within the Residential department. Guide and train Room Attendants, check cleanliness standards, maintain the highest standard across apartments, corridors, staircases and service areas, and act as an ambassador of Raffles values. Assist with hotel housekeeping when required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day direction and task allocation for room attendants and house porters.
  • Participate in or lead departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure positive communication and offer support.
  • Maintain effective communication with the housekeeping department and report issues to Senior/Head/Executive Housekeepers.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the housekeeping team through effective teamwork.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance faults and engineering issues via Knowcross.
  • Interact warmly and professionally with guests, anticipating their needs.
  • Be knowledgeable of all hotel services and outlets to respond to guest requests.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, including reporting hazards and following fire, emergency and bomb procedures.
  • Act with composure under pressure, encouraging and recognising staff creativity and innovation.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including work in other departments or restaurants.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering the best service and experiences.
  • Proven ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to multi‑task while maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.

Desirable

  • Previous housekeeping and supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
