Company Description
Raffles London operates a 120‑room flagship hotel at the iconic Old War Office building along with a collection of 85 exceptional branded residences, 12 restaurants and bars, signature chef Mauro Colagreco, Guerlain spa, Pillar Wellness, and a 600‑seat grand ballroom.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning storage and maintaining crockery, glassware, and cutlery.
- Safely operating cleaning machines, dishwashers, and polishers following safety protocols.
- Providing appropriate support across all Raffles and Mauro Colagreco areas.
- Organising back‑of‑store rooms, recording breakages and wastage.
- Working with all departments to coordinate waste disposal and recycling to Raffles green standards.
- Organising deliveries and distributing them to the appropriate place.
- Performing additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.
- Performing other duties as required or assigned, including working in a different department or restaurant than usual.
Health and Safety
- Ensuring COSHH standards and procedures are met and maintained whenever handling or using chemicals.
- Reporting all potential and real hazards immediately and rectifying them.
- Being fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency, and Bomb procedures.
- Ensuring the safety of people and property on the premises in strict adherence to existing laws, statutes, and applicable ordinances.
- Stimulating and encouraging general awareness of Health and Safety in all tasks undertaken.
Qualifications
Essential
- A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to multi‑task while maintaining an immaculate and professional appearance.
- An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24‑hour operational schedule when required.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
