We are recruiting for a Financial Accounts Assistant to join a well-established, successful and growing business based in Portsmouth. You will join a supportive finance team, working closely with the Financial Director in a varied and hands-on role where your contribution will be valued.
The Role:
- Managing sales and purchase ledger
- Processing invoices and payments
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Supporting VAT and CIS returns
- Handling customer and supplier queries
The Person:
- 3+ years experience in a finance or accounting role
- Experience with accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations
- Comfortable supporting month-end processes
- AAT Level 3 or 4 (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organised approach
- Confident using accounting software (Xero experience beneficial)
