Are you a skilled AV professional with a passion for solving technical challenges and delivering outstanding customer service? We are looking for an experienced AV Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic and supportive team providing cutting-edge audio-visual solutions to clients across the UK.
The Role
As an AV Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of AV systems at client sites. You will be responsible for fault finding, system repairs, preventative maintenance, and building strong relationships with clients. This is a hands-on role, requiring regular travel and the ability to work independently under pressure while keeping communication channels open with both the client and internal teams. The Field Service Engineer will typically be based on client sites four days per week, with one day each week working remotely from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve AV system faults on-site
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment servicing
- Produce clear and concise job reports post-site visits
- Build strong client relationships to help ensure contract renewals
- Support the AV Help Desk team as needed
- Maintain adherence to customer SLAs and quality standards
- Organise bench repairs or coordinate with manufacturers where required
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Field Service AV Engineering role
- Strong troubleshooting and fault resolution skills in AV systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with industry systems and tools including: Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Logitech, Poly, Biamp, ZeeVee, Shure
- Remote management tools such as Utelogy, Barco, Fusion, RMS, Avedia Server, TMS
- Comfortable working under pressure and within SLA frameworks
- Proactive and customer-focused mindset
Qualifications
Essential: Solid technical AV background; Proven commitment to excellent customer service
Desirable: Broader technology experience; AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification
