About you
As our Chef, you will need stamina, patience, creativity, and imagination, with lots of great ideas to enhance mealtimes. The key responsibilities include:
- Planning, preparation, and serving of age-appropriate, nutritious, and well-balanced meals and snacks catering to children’s individual dietary requirements and food allergies
- Ordering, controlling, storing, and rotating kitchen stock
- Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen is maintained at the highest standards in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation
An essential requirement is a minimum Level 3 qualification in food hygiene, along with excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency. This post requires a satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter.
