Are you looking for a flexible job in childcare to fit around your family, studies or work life balance? Whether you are ready to further your early years career, looking for a change or just starting out, then RAFAKidz may be a great fit! All children are special but at RAFAKidz we believe our children are extra special. RAFAKidz is one of the chosen providers of nursery services to the RAF (Royal Air Force). Our nursery at RAF Odiham (near Hook) is one of 16 settings in the RAFAKidz family. The nursery itself has around 55 children with spaces in continued demand, supported by a team of circa 20 practitioners.
Our Casual colleagues have access to the same training opportunities as our amazing team and you’ll be the first to hear of any permanent roles which suit your skills and experience should you be looking for something more permanent in the future. Whilst previous experience within a childcare setting is desirable, it is not essential. We are looking for Casual Nursery Assistants who have a genuine love of children, warmth, patience and a great sense of humour!
We will give you a great induction experience, training and development opportunities and you’ll be learning on the job with our amazing colleagues – it’s a real team effort!
A typical day in the role will include:
- Being hands on and creative with messy and outdoor play activities
- Helping with meals and snack times
- Keeping records on children’s progress and daily activities and adventures
- Maintaining highest standards of safety, cleanliness and hygiene
- Meet and greet families and build great relationships
- Be willing to learn from colleagues to understand EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
Please do review the complete job description for the full overview of requirements, but if you’re looking for a real opportunity to be part of our growth journey and help us specifically support our valued RAF community, please do apply. This post requires a satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter. As part of our inclusive culture, we encourage applications across all cultural backgrounds, genders and abilities.
