11am – 4pm Monday to Friday
Just like our children, our waiting lists are growing! In each of our 21 settings we create amazing experiences every day. Our staff are specially selected for their loving and caring nature, as well as their expertise. The needs of military families are unique, and at RAFAKidz we take extra care to make sure those needs are met.

Role
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant. As part of the busy catering team, we would love to welcome a new colleague who can bring creativity and imagination with an abundance of great ideas to enhance mealtimes. Ideally you will have previous experience within a busy catering environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the cook in the management of the nursery kitchens, food policies, organising, preparing, and serving nursery meals in accordance with the nursery menus and individual dietary requirements.
- Be a good role model to the children, demonstrating patience and encouragement.
- Safeguard children by following policies and procedures in place.
- Work 3 hours a day Monday to Friday.
- Ensure hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen to the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.
Qualifications
- Current Food Hygiene certificate (required; training can be provided for ideal candidate).
- Knowledge of current Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency legislation is highly desirable.
- A satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter.
