The predicted salary is between 35400 - 38000 £ per year.

£40,593 - £42,730 37.5 hours per week Leicester based LE3 1UT with hybrid working. UK Driving licence is essential for this role.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join us in a newly created role to deliver well-evidenced, effective and continually improved welfare and wellbeing services which achieve maximum reach and impact throughout the RAF community. The Services Development Manager will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of innovative welfare and wellbeing services, while also driving the continuous improvement and enhancement of existing services. The postholder will lead the dedicated development team, setting a clear vision and direction, fostering a culture of co-creation and co-production to ensure that the voice and lived experience of the RAF community inform all stages of design and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and implementation of new welfare and wellbeing services, managing projects from research and concept development to launch and initial establishment.
  • Support service delivery teams to evolve and develop existing welfare and wellbeing services, ensuring robust planning, implementation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Foster a creative and results-orientated culture, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and emerging needs.
  • Ensure evidence-based decision making and deliver projects within agreed scope, timescales and budget.
  • Ensure an integrated and collaborative approach (both internally and externally): promote co-creation and co-production; place service users and partnerships at the heart of creation and development; lead engagement with external partners and stakeholders; work closely with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Association’s wellbeing products and services and for the wider Welfare and Wellbeing Directorate, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.

About you

Educated to degree level or equivalent specialist experience in this field, you will have proven experience in shaping service development strategy along with skills in leading the design and delivery of welfare and wellbeing projects. We need you to be resourceful, innovative and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills to address challenges whilst managing multiple projects. Previous line management experience is essential for this role as you will be leading and coaching high-performance teams to deliver results on time and within budget. Some flexibility in your working hours may be required on occasions when you are representing the Association to stakeholders at presentations, events and meetings. A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
