Who are RAFAKidz:

RAFAKidz provides high quality, affordable early years childcare and wraparound services to the children of serving RAF personnel and the wider defence community (other military personnel, civil servants, contractors and their families). Since its inception in 2019, RAFAKidz has grown rapidly and this is your chance to join as we continue to expand. RAFAKidz is a not-for-profit organisation, reinvesting surplus income to support the RAF community.

With our friendly team and small room sizes we can offer exciting experiences every day. Our little RAFAKidz family are always busy with trips out, picnics, parties and outdoor learning. For every child that comes through the doors of RAFAKidz, no matter their ability, background or circumstances, we provide experiences that will help them be confident and reach their full potential.

Role:

By joining us as part of our RAFAKidz family, we make a commitment to your ongoing development and future career opportunities. We ask that you bring a positive, caring and enthusiastic attitude and in return we will give you a great induction experience, training and development opportunities and you’ll be learning on the job from amazing colleagues!

We offer subsidised childcare for colleagues to be able to bring their children with them, high quality up-to-date training including using our software to electronically record your observations and updates. A typical day in a Level 3 role will include:

  • Using the EYFS learning outcomes to plan and carry out fun, educational and stimulating activities
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records that fulfil Ofsted requirements
  • Designated key worker responsibilities for a group of children
  • Work with Senco to identify and support children with special educational needs and disabilities
