Rae McCabe Associates is recruiting on behalf of a leading Scottish Law Firm within their busy and highly reputable Dispute Resolution team. The role exists to provide supportive and hands-on support to one of the Partners within the Dispute Resolution Team. We are looking for someone who has experience of providing a high level of administrative and secretarial support within a DR / Litigation environment. The team works across a wide range of civil dispute resolution matters including land and property litigation, commercial and contract issues, landlord and tenant, planning, debt, family and employment. Legal experience and knowledge, specifically within Litigation, is essential.

Typical responsibilities:

  • Managing the partner’s diary and appointments, including court dates
  • Liaising with clients on behalf of the partner, in person, via email, and by telephone
  • Preparing legal and court documents
  • Liaising with third parties, solicitors and courts
  • Assisting with the billing process, drafting fee notes
  • Ensuring general organisation and smooth running of matters

Key experience:

  • Experience as a Legal PA / Administrator from a Litigation environment
  • Proactive with fantastic organisation and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Accustomed to providing a high level of support in a busy and demanding environment
