A fantastic opportunity for a professional and experienced Legal PA / Administrator to join a leading Scottish Law Firm, supporting busy fee earners in their Edinburgh office. The post holder is an integral member of the team with the role existing to provide proactive PA and administrative support to busy Private Client fee earners. The firm offers a modern and progressive environment and the team is inclusive, welcoming and supportive.
The successful candidate will ideally have relevant Private Client experience (or similar legal experience) gained from a responsible and varied role, as well as energy, a friendly disposition and positive attitude.
Responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently produce accurately typed documentation including letters, reports, presentations and specialist forms and documents
- Assist with client enquiries and general call handling and message taking
- Assist with the AML for the opening of new clients
- Preparation of draft fee notes
- Assist with relevant Will review projects and Power of Attorney administration
- Uploading and registration of Powers of Attorney
- Co-ordinate and arrange travel and accommodation requirements
- File management for team
- Preparation of reports using Excel
- Support the team with finance administration
- Produce reports and client information from case management system
- Support diary management for team
- Assist team with preparing PowerPoint presentations
Essential criteria:
- Strong Secretarial / Administrative skills gained from a legal or professional services environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a professional and friendly manner
- Strong MS Office skills
