Whether you’re looking for full-time stability or part-time flexibility, we’d love to tailor the role to suit you. We know life isn’t one-size-fits-all – and neither is the perfect nursing job.

Role

We’re looking for a confident all-rounder who enjoys being involved in all aspects of nursing – from theatre work and in-patient care to nurse clinics and client education. You’ll be fully supported by a close-knit team and encouraged to make the role your own.

About Us

We’re a small but passionate team made up of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 RVNs, a VCA, a VCA student, and 2 support staff. We work collaboratively, value each team member, and pride ourselves on delivering a personal, high-quality service to our loyal client base.

Our well-equipped practice includes:

  • Digital X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • In-house IDEXX lab
  • Brand new multiparameter monitoring machine

We are a proudly 100% small animal practice, with deep roots in the community – we’ve been caring for Boroughbridge’s pets since 1891!

About the Area

Boroughbridge is a picturesque town with a thriving high street, cosy cafés, traditional pubs, and great local shops. It’s perfectly situated within easy reach of York, Leeds, and Harrogate, offering the best of both countryside and city life.

Working Hours That Work for You

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, and we offer two working pattern options to suit your lifestyle:

  • Option 1: Four longer days (8:30am-6:00pm), including Monday and Friday, with either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday off
  • Option 2: Shorter mid-week days with a later start and 6:00pm finish, working Monday to Friday

In both cases, you’ll be part of our Saturday rota, working 1 in every 3 Saturdays.

We’re also happy to chat about alternative flexible arrangements if you have something specific in mind – we know that life outside work matters too.

Because our people matter

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from –
