The Role

As an HR Advisor, you will deliver first‑line advice to managers across our UK and wider European teams, compliant with local employment law. Working in a flexible and proactive manner, you will provide a comprehensive HR advisory and operational service, supporting managers across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, payroll liaison, HR records management, and training and development, in line with the People Strategy.

In Addition, You Will

  • Support the delivery of key HR processes and initiatives, ensuring consistency, compliance, and a high‑quality employee experience across the UK and wider European sites.
  • Provide first‑line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the UK and Europe.
  • Support and coach line managers on HR policies, procedures, and people‑management practices.
  • Manage employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters.
  • Assist with organisational change initiatives and mediation where required.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding support, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection and local employment laws.
  • Support payroll processes by coordinating and communicating employee changes.
  • Produce HR documentation, including contracts and letters.
  • Contribute to HR projects, reporting, and continuous improvement of policies and processes.

About You

Being proficient at providing pragmatic HR advice, and with a strong understanding of UK employment law, you will bring your previous HR Advisor/Generalist experience to the position, meaning the in‑depth training you receive from us will be bolstered by your own knowledge and experience.

  • Demonstrable experience in an HR Advisory/Generalist role, managing a varied caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with awareness of European HR practices.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters and advising managers with confidence.
  • A collaborative approach, with strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and HR systems/ATS.
  • A strong understanding of data protection requirements, with the ability to handle confidential information in line with GDPR.
  • Ability to collect and interpret HR data to support informed decision‑making.
  • Education to A Level standard (or equivalent).
  • CIPD Level 3.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or a degree in Human Resources (or similar).
  • Experience working across multiple European countries.
