Rabobank is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Strategic HR Business Partner (SHRBP) for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract role. Based in the heart of the City of London and reporting to the Head of People UK, the SHRBP plays a critical role in shaping strategic people outcomes across the business. This is a dynamic and influential position for a commercially astute HR professional who brings expertise, strong business partnering capability, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide expert guidance, drive impactful people initiatives, and contribute to a high-performing, forward-thinking culture. You will be part of a collaborative HR team where knowledge sharing, innovation, and partnership are at the core of everything we do.

As a Director level SHRBP your role will be to act as independent facilitator, providing specialist advice in all areas of people management and be highly skilled in managing stakeholder relationships. Key to our function is to achieve a balance between commercial requirements and best practice in our fields of expertise.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Trusted partner to senior leaders, shaping and delivering business-aligned people strategies while championing the people agenda at management level.
- Organisational Change & Risk Management: Lead complex change initiatives, ensuring seamless delivery, robust risk mitigation, and compliance with UK legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Talent & Capability Development: Partnering with the Head of Talent Acquisition drive recruitment, help to shape succession planning, and leadership capability—building strong talent pipelines and coaching senior stakeholders to elevate performance.
- Expert People Advisory & Insights: Provide data-driven insights, lead key HR initiatives, and offer expert guidance on employee relations, employment law, and DE&I to enhance business outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience in HR Business Partnering within Banking and Finance.
- Strong employment law and regulatory knowledge with the ability to interpret and provide pragmatic and commercial advice.
- Experience in proactive management of people issues to produce the best outcomes for the employee and the Bank, whilst mitigating risks.
- Strong change management skills and previous experience of managing the people implications of business restructuring exercises and organisational development.
- Strong communication, collaboration, influencing and project management skills.
- Experience of coaching senior leaders and managers.
