A General Manager is required to run a busy gastro, riverside pub/coaching inn. Located in an iconic Herefordshire village, with 8 letting rooms, outdoor bar, pizza oven and large riverside garden, this position offers the opportunity to develop and expand. With a current turnover of £1.2 million, this challenging role offers an exciting opportunity. This position would be ideal for an experienced manager looking to take ownership of a well-run, high potential site with a loyal customer base.

The role:

  • Full responsibility for the day to day running of the pub, staffing and accommodation.
  • Leading and developing the team.
  • Driving sales, service standards and overall performance.
  • Managing stock, rotas and financial performance.
  • Creating a welcoming community-driven environment.

The candidate:

  • Previous experience as a General Manager or strong Deputy Manager.
  • A calm, visible and hands-on leadership style.
  • Commercially aware with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent financial understanding including payroll, forecasting and stock control.
  • Strong organisational, administration and operational planning skills.
