Principal Consultants enable / accelerate the growth of our Sales within the WWT Advanced Technical Solutions (ATS) with a strong focus on Global customers across North America, EMEA and APAC.
Client focus: Champion transformation by partnering with Global Enterprise Sales, Government Solutions, and Service Provider sales channels and multiple service lines to create a One WWT experience for our customers. Lead account and domain planning needs that drives Digital Transformation and Industry Solutions in Strategic Accounts, accelerates our customer's digital journey, and results in engagements that maximize product and service pull through. Define project scope and objectives and develop detailed technical methodologies, schedules, project estimates, and project deliverables across multiple IT infrastructure domains.
Delivery focus: Interact with customer stakeholders and solve business problems within client engagements. Provide leadership on customer-facing services projects of varying size and complexity that will often include the development of project deliverables (examples include white papers, plans, strategies, designs, assessments, and business case analyses). Participate in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Closely partner with Global Enterprise Sales, Engineering and Services leadership and contribute to the development of market relevant solutions and long-term growth strategies.
- Lead and own pre‑sales activities on behalf of Professional Services through the sales engagement lifecycle, partnering with Account and Services leadership. This includes leading on voice of the customer, proposal, level of effort (LOE) and commercial construction through to closed‑won.
- Provide industry, client and OEM insight back into WWT to ensure sustained innovation and differentiation with a focus on the Global Financial industry.
- Develop analytical and technological solutions to achieve defined business objectives. Consult with business users to ensure that solutions meet business needs and are practical to implement.
- Provide technical leadership and escalation support internally for WWT employees, Partners, and Contractors. Accountable for identifying, monitoring, and helping resolve technical Risks and Issues as a partner with the PMO.
- Responsible for the delivery of project work, ongoing quality of the work (internal and partner work), ensuring standards and delivery methodologies are being followed and appropriate resources are available to meet the current and future demands of the project.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a related field.
Other Work Experience: Presales – Services oriented mindset and focus. Advanced client‑facing skills, including analyzing and providing services led solutions to complex business requirements, objectives, goals and desired outcomes across technology and organizational transformation. 10+ years of work experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Professional Services, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Engineering, Technology Sales, Cybersecurity, Data Science and related. Multi‑technology (Data Center, Network, Security, Collaboration, Compute, Development) domain expertise, advisory, and evangelism in one or more vertical sectors: Global Financial, Service Provider, Health Care, Technology, or other commercial. Delivery Execution – Organizational transformation background including process, service and business architecture. Mastery of all financial commercial aspects of programmes, such as client invoicing and payments, labour utilization, profit margin capitalization, project budgets, expenditures, research and development, and ROI. Demonstrated proficiency in General Project Management and methodologies including strategic thinking, resourcefulness, problem‑solving, and business judgment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead architecture development activities and methodologies leading to comprehensive discovery, analysis, and technical/business recommendations. Demonstrated ability to present in-depth technical solutions, including business/technical writing and presentations. Demonstrated “hunt – kill – eat” mentality to lead all efforts from business develop through delivery. Participate with Sales during the sales process through Voice of the Customer (VOC) sessions, Project Scoping Workshops (PSWs), presentations, and bridge the gap between Sales and Professional Services to close new opportunities. Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate across all customer organizations, from Sr Executives to end users. Develop relationships throughout the customer's organization to source new business and drive additional profitable growth. Successful experience managing technical swim lanes of large or multi‑disciplinary/multi‑phased projects, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and delivery. Ability to successfully manage partner and vendor resources. Proven experience operating in settings where ultimate success is driven by teams (sales, services) outside of direct control yet dependent on ability to partner, provide access and empower these teams in pursuit of identified opportunities.
