Radleys is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to develop our business across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for driving sales and building strong customer relationships across this territory, identifying new opportunities whilst also supporting existing customers. The role interacts regularly with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Technical Support and R&D. The candidate must be located within the territory, preferably between Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Nearly 60 years on, we remain a proud British manufacturer, still focused on what we do best, high quality scientific equipment for chemistry. We design and build precision laboratory systems in house, bringing together chemists, glassblowers and engineers with decades of practical experience. Our equipment is trusted by leading pharmaceutical, biopharma, chemical and academic organisations worldwide, a reputation earned through consistent quality, technical depth and long term thinking. The Role Reporting into the Global Sales Manager you will work closely with the UK Sales Manager to seek new business opportunities and manage the sales cycle, building and developing relationships, as well as identifying key accounts and contacts. This is a field sales role, where you will conduct on-site sales visits, product demonstrations and trainings so overnight stays may be necessary. You will maintain accurate records in Salesforce, follow system processes and utilise the system to support sales development. Assisting with marketing activities related to your territory, you will also organise and attend onsite exhibitions and symposiums. You will have involvement in Sales and Training videos and webinars and report on competitor activity and market conditions.
Experience and capability You will have an educational background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or in a related field and a familiarity with products within process and organic chemistry fields. You will have knowledge of Pharmaceutical, CRO, Biotech, BioPharma and Research organisations and be confident working in CRM systems and with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets, and a full UK driving license, are essential.
