Head of Logistics
We have an exciting new role ready for someone with strong logistics and management experience- this role is accountable for the end-to-end operations of the UK and US warehouses, our UK warehouse population and management of operations with our US 3PL provider, the role is supported by a team of Operations Management and two Team Leaders.
Maintaining service level agreements for warehouse performance and inventory management, aligned to budgetary accountability is key as well as building a close partnership with Supply Chain to ensure inbound capacity and that fulfilment is on time. Our business has recently moved to our new ERP and so therefore knowledge of the Chess Warehouse management systems and the link to Business Central is beneficial for the success of this role.
We love to see leaders in our business get stuck in and lead by example, so a willingness to get involved in Warehouse Operations on the floor, even picking and packing to ensure a culture of continuous improvement may be required from time to time.
Key Accountabilities
- Managing the UK warehouse, including health and safety, staff scheduling and productivity of the Radley team, also accountability for site maintenance
- Accountability for our 3PL logistics provider in the US
- In depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and the ability to optimise solutions to enhance productivity
- Budget and cost management to ensure optimum service at or below budgeted levels
- Provide on time and accurate reporting of service levels, productivity and performance, KPI and SLA
- ESG reporting for the site
Preferred skills
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Warehouse manager
- Extensive people management knowledge and experience
- Experience of 3rd Party Logistics and Freight Forwarders
- Knowledge and understanding of SLA and KPI structures
- Record of developing people
This role is based on-site in our Milton Keynes Distribution Centre.
