An Assistant Buyer at Radley London plays a crucial role in supporting the global buying team to develop and deliver profitable product ranges, for all routes to market to become the world’s most coveted British handbags and accessory brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product & Placement: Assist the Senior Buyer in the selection process for all product categories, to launch cohesive and commercial ranges for the customer. Support the product selection for multiple channels, reflecting current trends that align with the brand strategy, aesthetic and target market. Maintain and review pricing architecture with the wider B&M team, confirming competitive alignment and remaining true to the brand strategy. Support with the coordination between product and marketing. Driving key product families, trend pieces or high-volume lines for a profitable outcome. Play a pivotal part in managing and maintaining the wider critical path as an end-to-end process.
  • Sales Analysis: Review weekly sales data alongside the Merchandising function, focusing on best and worst sellers, following up where necessary to drive positive trade actions. Work cross functionally within the business to support other trading channels where sales information needs to be shared collaboratively for wider visibility.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor the fashion market and customer activity through competitive shops, sales, and trend analysis to identify commercial opportunities within the offer. Complete seasonal market analysis presentations and feed into product development teams and the Senior Buyer.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience working within the fashion accessories sector as an Assistant Buyer or a Senior Buying Assistant level.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-departmental fashion business.
  • Positive outlook with a willingness to take on challenges.
  • Team player, with the ability to work in an agile position alongside various departments.
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to confidently present, influence and persuade.
