We are searching for an experienced and professional Paraplanner who is ready to move into a Paraplanning Team Leader role with our client, a large market leading wealth management firm.
Your role will be to support the Paraplanning Manager with the team management daily:
- Managing the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring pipeline management.
- Maintaining management information to track activity for both themselves and advisers.
- Taking accountability for team performance, supporting the Paraplanners achieving their goals.
- Mentoring and developing trainees and new starters to competent status.
- Providing technical support to the team, delivering training sessions to upskill knowledge.
- Managing quality within the team, identifying trends and issues, and ensuring improvements.
- Assisting in the development, design and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Contributing to change management initiatives to constantly improve and drive efficiencies.
- Promoting and maintaining the relationship with the Business Quality Team.
- Being a role model and leading by example; deputising for the Paraplanner Manager during periods of their absence.
Use research tools to ensure independent/whole of market/holistic advice is provided to the Client:
- Review Client Fact-Finds/Client Meeting notes against defined Compliance guidelines.
- Issue clear and accurate feedback confirming required actions to avoid complaints.
- Liaise with consultants for additional information to support the recommendations made.
- Prepare draft suitability reports within an agreed timescale for the Client.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Current and proven Paraplanning experience ideally within an independent advice firm.
- Experience of holistic paraplanning and file checking is essential ideally 3 years minimum.
- Experienced within pensions specifically pensions transfers (DB schemes) - ideal but not essential.
- Excellent analytical and evaluation skills.
- Dealing with FSA objectives, Principles, advice processes and propositions.
- Fully Diploma 4 qualified with some advanced qualifications or willing to work towards Chartered status.
- Strong organisational skills with good IT skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills and high level of numeracy is essential.
- Some supervisory experience would be ideal but is not essential.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to move into a Team Leader / Management role. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate on our clients business process, workflow, and back-office system.
