We are partnering with a capital markets technology firm to hire a Senior Front-End Engineer for its London team.
You will help develop a flagship platform used by hedge funds, traders and portfolio managers, combining hands-on engineering with ownership of front-end architecture and technical delivery.
The opportunity
Joining the team responsible for the platform’s core foundations, you will build complex, data-intensive applications and shared capabilities. You will work closely with product, design and backend engineering teams, influencing how the platform develops and setting high standards for performance, reliability and user experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and delivery of complex front-end features and reusable components.
- Making architectural decisions that support scalability and maintainability.
- Improving engineering standards across testing, tooling and code quality.
- Translating business requirements into clear technical plans.
- Mentoring engineers through code reviews, pairing and technical guidance.
- Taking ownership of production reliability, monitoring and application performance.
What you’ll bring:
- At least six years of professional experience building scalable applications with React and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of front-end architecture, system design and software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience working with complex business requirements and substantial volumes of data.
- A track record of technical ownership, mentoring and improving engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills and a focus on delivering high-quality products.
What’s offered
