We are working with a crypto-native DeFi trading platform, backed by a leading digital assets firm, to hire a Senior Backend Developer. The team is building high-performance, decentralized trading infrastructure with a strong focus on execution quality and user experience. This is a hands-on role covering backend engineering, smart contract integration, and trading-adjacent systems, working closely with experienced engineers, product, and UX in a fast-moving, production-focused environment.
Location: London Area, United Kingdom.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and maintaining backend services and public APIs in Rust and Python
- Working directly with EVM smart contracts at an application level
- Contributing to the evolution of a performance-critical DeFi trading platform
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience with Rust and Python
- 3–4+ years in crypto / DeFi-native roles
- Practical experience interacting with Solidity smart contracts (not just high-level)
- Understanding of DEXs and trading concepts (hands-on or theoretical)
- Comfortable operating production systems in a cloud environment
