A client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their fast-growing, multi-strategy investment firm. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing a global technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support across hardware, software, and infrastructure platforms
- Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, M365/Entra, VMware, Azure, and Linux environments
- Manage OS and software patching
- Improve and automate infrastructure build processes and operational workflows
- Drive standardisation and best practices across the technology estate
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Support a fast-paced, business-critical environment
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering, ideally within financial services
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows Server & Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
- VMware
- Azure
- Enterprise Linux
- PowerShell and/or Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with helpdesk/ticketing systems
- Excellent communication skills
