We’re working with a growing trading firm expanding its trading desks in London, and they’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to support this growth and play a key role in shaping the front-office technology environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the go-to person for traders and business users, ensuring a seamless, high-performance desktop and trading experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT support across the trading floor
- Provide support for enterprise and trading applications
- Manage and support IPC/Turret (trader voice) infrastructure
- Oversee end-user technology including phones, printers, video conferencing, and security systems
- Help build out and scale new trading desks, ensuring technology is fit for purpose
- Analyse and recommend improvements for user-facing technologies
- Coordinate with wider IT teams on desktop builds, VPNs, and infrastructure delivery
- Maintain and evolve the internal IT knowledge base/wiki
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in IT support within a fast-paced environment (financial services or trading is a plus)
- Exposure to trading floor technologies or front-office support
- Solid understanding of Windows environments, end-user support, and infrastructure basics
- Experience with turret/voice systems is highly desirable
- Proactive, personable, and confident supporting senior stakeholders
Day rate £400+ (Inside IR35) (dependent on experience)
