Top digital asset trading firm that provides institutional liquidity across spot, derivatives, and stablecoin FX markets is looking to hire a Head of Risk. After an extended period of rapid expansion, the firm is now looking to reinforce their enterprise risk, governance, and operations infrastructure. The Head of Risk will lead this transformation to establish robust frameworks that combine trading excellence with institutional resilience. This role will report straight to the CEO and board.
The Head of Risk will design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive risk and operations control architecture covering market, credit, counterparty, liquidity, and operational risk across centralized, decentralized, and FX‑onchain activity. The role combines strategic governance with hands‑on risk oversight to ensure that every element of their collateral, leverage, and trading operations meets the firm’s internal risk appetite, investor expectations, and regulatory guidelines.
What we’re looking for:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in risk management or trading operations, ideally in FX and derivatives, combined with experience in digital assets.
- Proven ability to design enterprise‑wide risk frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong technical background in risk modeling, VaR, liquidity metrics, and collateral optimization.
- Experience with tools such as Fireblocks, Haruko, Tres, or Talos is preferred.
- FRM, CFA, or quantitative finance background is a plus.
- Prior interaction with regulators, auditors, or board‑level reporting.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross‑departmental collaboration skills.
Compensation is highly competitive and contingent on experience. Equity participation possible upon board approval.
