A newly launched long/short equity hedge fund, currently a six-person team comprised of senior professionals from leading global hedge funds, is seeking a highly capable Full Stack Engineer to sit under their CRO. With a strong investment focus and an entrepreneurial culture, the firm offers a unique opportunity to join at a formative stage.
This role provides the chance to work directly with a high-calibre team on greenfield projects, shaping the research and tooling infrastructure from the ground up. The successful candidate will gain exposure across the full technology stack, with the option to specialise further in backend or frontend development as the role evolves.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a greenfield research platform and internal tooling to support the investment process.
- Contribute across both backend and frontend (50/50 split) with a focus on clean, scalable, and performant code.
- Collaborate closely with investment professionals and senior engineers to deliver solutions to complex business problems.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to deployment, ensuring robustness and maintainability.
Qualifications:
- 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong academic background from a top-tier university
- Proficiency in Python is essential, along with React / TypeScript
