I'm recruiting for a leading Trading technology-driven firm, they're seeking a Network Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-performance, low-latency environment supporting critical trading and research systems. You’ll work closely with senior network engineers, quantitative researchers and software developers across the UK and U.S. You'll help to design, deploy and support robust network infrastructure in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deploy, configure and support network infrastructure across on-prem and data center environments
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network incidents, performance issues and outages
  • Support low‑latency systems where reliability and speed are critical
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers across multiple regions
  • Participate in on‑call rotations, including occasional weekend support

What They’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, L2/L3 routing and switching)
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking platforms (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of basic network security concepts (ACLs, firewalls, segmentation)
  • Experience with Linux‑based systems and the Linux networking stack
  • Familiarity with automation or scripting tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet)
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in low‑latency or multi‑data center environments
  • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with NetOps tools and practices (Git, CI/CD, Terraform, monitoring platforms)
