A leading global proprietary trading firm is expanding its Production Engineering team in London. They operate across futures, options, cryptocurrency, and equities markets worldwide, developing and deploying algorithmic and high-frequency trading strategies supported by highly performant, low-latency infrastructure.

Role Overview:

  • Design, build, and maintain tooling and systems supporting a global, low-latency trading platform
  • Monitor and improve reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across distributed infrastructure and trading environments
  • Work closely with developers, traders, and infrastructure teams to optimise system performance
  • Contribute to observability, automation, and operational best practices

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Go, Python, or Rust)
  • Solid experience working with modern observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse)
  • Strong Linux systems and networking fundamentals
  • Experience working with distributed systems and debugging complex production issues
  • Exposure to Kubernetes (on-premise experience highly desirable)
  • Background in high-performance or mission-critical environments preferred
