We’re partnering with a well-known, multi-site retail organisation to appoint a Senior Payroll Analyst to join their payroll team and play a key role in the accurate delivery of UK and international payrolls. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with responsibility for the UK retail payroll, alongside analytical support for international payroll operations. You’ll work closely with Finance, HR, Retail Operations and external payroll providers to ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly and on time.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in UK retail payroll within a multi-location environment
- Exposure to international payrolls and/or outsourced payroll providers
- Strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions and statutory compliance
- Advanced Excel skills (payroll journals, reconciliations, reporting)
- Experience working with integrated HR/payroll systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors or similar)
- A proactive mindset with an eye for process improvement and data accuracy
The role will involve:
- End-to-end processing and ownership of the UK retail payroll
- Supporting and reviewing payroll activity for international entities
- Producing payroll journals, balance sheet reconciliations and cost reports
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries across the business
- Partnering with Finance and HR on payroll controls, audits and compliance
- Supporting year-end activities including P11Ds and statutory reporting
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, reporting and controls
