Radley Green is partnering exclusively with an Investment Manager firm to recruit a Senior Investments Tax Manager. This role reports into the Chief Legal and Compliance Director and will take ownership of everything related to Tax on the investments managed by the firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Tax professional who has experience working with an Investment Management background to join a firm that looks after its staff and provides lots of opportunities for growth. This role will pay £100k-£130k + 20% bonus + 13% non-contributory pension and is 2-3 days a week in their city-based office.
The main responsibilities are:
- Tax Compliance: UK Tax Returns and Tax provisions, ACS submissions, liaise with external advisors where relevant, apply Tax technical experience and knowledge to quality and accuracy of returns.
- Structuring: Tax Due Diligence on investments, existing structure maintenance, VAT on real estate, ensure advice given by advisors is implemented correctly across IPVs.
- Operational: Custodian process overnight, working with international tax agents and overview overseas compliance, foreign self-cert/KYC.
- Networking: Establish a network of trusted advisors and build up internal expertise and precedent within the tax function to decrease reliance on external advisors and improve consistency in tax implementation and structuring across the IPVs.
- Team Development: Build the right capabilities in the team and actively coach across the business.
Candidates must be/have:
- Qualified Accountant or CTA with a background in various investment/asset types.
- Demonstrated experience in the financial services sector with substantial Tax advisory or structuring within/working with Investment Managers.
