Are you interested in working for a fast growth VC backed startup? Do you have experience setting up processes and leading finance for a growing business?
If so, we are seeking a French speaking Head of Finance to join our clients growing team as a first in house finance hire.
This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the finance function from the ground up and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial future. You will report directly to the CEO and take ownership of all financial processes, ensuring a robust financial framework to support our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee all financial processes, including statutory and financial reporting, management accounting, and finance operations.
- Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support commercial decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and investors.
- Partner with the CEO/Founder to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Support fundraising activities and investor relations where necessary.
- Utilize technology and automation to streamline finance operations.
Who You Are:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Business proficient in French is required.
- Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, or fast-growing business is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and commercial finance.
- Proven ability to set up and manage finance functions from scratch.
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in an evolving and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner with non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in the real estate or PropTech sector is a plus but not essential.
