Radley Green is partnered with a global business, who are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join their growing finance team, based in their London Headquarters.
The role requires a fully qualified Accountant with experience using Oracle and excellent experience of General Ledger Accounting, ideally with a large international business.
The role will have one direct report and will report into the Fin-Ops Director and is to start as soon as possible.
: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home – City of London
Responsibilities:
Month-End & Financial Operations Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close in line with group timelines, including sub-ledger close, GL open/close, and Oracle accounting processes.
- Review fixed assets, run depreciation, and validate manual GL entries.
- Ensure accuracy of prepayments, accruals, and consistent revaluation across entities.
- Manage chart of accounts and maintain period exchange rates across finance systems.
- Review and resolve month-end exceptions and produce high-quality balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support balance sheet reviews with the Head of Finance Ops and assist with first-level reconciliation reviews.
GRNI Process Management:
- Collaborate with Engine Finance and Projects teams to review and clear aged GRNI.
- Act as P2P subject matter expert and support training on requisition and receipting.
- Support finance transformation initiatives (e.g., Oracle ARCS implementation, GL/payroll accounting improvements, and month-end efficiency).
- Act as SME for Oracle GL and support intercompany recharges to prevent month-end delays.
- Manage and develop the Assistant GL Accountant.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) with excellent knowledge of professional accounting standards.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of transactional, general ledger and accounting close processes.
- Strong IT systems knowledge, Oracle is required.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
