We’re recruiting on behalf of a fast‑growing professional services business that is looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join its expanding finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic B2B organisation where you’ll take ownership of the credit control function, helping to maximise cash collection, reduce aged debt and build strong client relationships. Experience within professional services, subscription‑based businesses or accountancy services would be highly advantageous.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end‑to‑end credit control process across a portfolio of B2B clients.
- Chasing outstanding payments via telephone and email.
- Reconciling customer accounts and resolving invoice queries.
- Monitoring aged debt and proactively managing credit risk.
- Producing debtor reports and supporting cash flow forecasting.
- Negotiating payment plans where appropriate.
- Working closely with finance and operational teams to resolve billing issues.
- Identifying opportunities to improve credit control processes and reduce debtor days.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Collections.
- Experience working within a B2B environment.
- A background in professional services, subscription‑based businesses or accountancy would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience using Xero, Sage or similar accounting software.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proactive, commercially minded approach.
