Assistant Management Accountant – 18-Month FTC | £37,000 - £40,000 + bonus + benefits | London (Hybrid)
Do you have experience in e-commerce, D2C, retail, or multi-site operations and want to take the next step in your finance career? We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a leading media and publishing group in London on an 18-month fixed-term contract. You’ll support the Senior Management Accountant across several exciting business units, including e-commerce, publishing, and multi-site venues.
This is a hands-on, visible role in a fast-paced and creative B2B environment, offering real exposure to the P&L, balance sheet, and day-to-day finance operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting month-end management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing invoices, purchase orders, and weekly payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and aged creditors
- Managing corporate card and personal expense processing
- Handling daily bank reconciliations across multiple territories
- Assisting with monthly stakeholder reports and ad hoc analysis
- Training new team members on finance systems and processes
- Acting as a first point of contact for finance queries from suppliers and internal teams
What we’re looking for:
- Experience within e-commerce, D2C, retail, or multi-site environments
- Strong attention to detail and great numeracy skills
- Organised and methodical approach to managing workload
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels
- Positive, proactive, and thrives in a fast-moving business
- Advantageous: exposure to multi-currency accounting
- Bonus points for experience with NetSuite, HSBCnet, Certify, or advanced Excel
