Radley College is looking for a Spanish Language Assistant who will support our dynamic and friendly modern languages department during the academic year (2026/27 - 1 September 2026 to 30 June 2027) for 30 hours per week term time. The successful candidate will speak the target language to native standard and have an interest in language learning or perhaps a career in education. This appointment could be for a fixed term of one year or permanent and you will need to have the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in developing the speaking skills of pupils.
- Conduct lessons with students of Spanish individually or in pairs.
- Prepare teaching and display materials for the department.
An excellent level of written and spoken Spanish is required, along with an interest in cultural topics concerning countries where Spanish is spoken. Although not essential, it would be beneficial to have a strong academic background (BA, BSc or equivalent). It would also be beneficial to have an understanding of the Pearson A level and Cambridge IGCSE examinations; however this is not essential.
