Overview

Trainee Field Engineer role at Radius. We support our customers with a range of products and services to meet their needs.

The role involves using technical expertise to install a range of vehicle Telematics products into customers’ vehicles in a professional and timely manner, applying best-practice techniques at every stage. You will focus on customer needs and satisfaction and build relationships to become the preferred supplier, while adhering to all company policies and guidelines.

We would love to welcome you to our team, working 40 hours per week with the potential of overtime and weekend working.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proactive daily communication with customers to ensure resolution and appropriate follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
  • Complete health and safety documentation before commencement of each installation or repair.
  • Ensure the “Job Sheet” is completed in full and signed by an authorised person before leaving the installation or repair.
  • Perform the allocated work on time, accurately and with a high quality of workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot customer queries on perceived faulty equipment and propose resolutions and designate equipment.
  • Maintain the accuracy of assigned inventory to ensure accountability and integrity of stock, keeping all company equipment secure.
  • Encourage a tidy van and tidy mind attitude.

  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment and logical decision making
  • Hands-on individual who is happy to roll up their sleeves and resolve problems within the department
  • Team player who is confident and a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Initiative and problem-solving ability, a pro-active approach and “can do” attitude
  • A strong desire to effect continuous improvements to the systems and processes
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Willing to stay away overnight
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • A polite, confident and friendly manner
  • Flexibility and quick thinking
  • Be well-organised and diligent, even under pressure
