Store Person .
You will be for managing order processing and customer service activities while supporting inventory control, supplier coordination, stock management, and accurate records maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of stores and supply processes.
Job Description
- Order Processing
- Answer emails from employees and customers.
- Answer calls from customers/employees and suppliers.
- Check if stock available from suppliers.
- Create price lists on a monthly basis.
- Inventory
Management: Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels by monitoring inventory, performing regular stock checks, and updating records in the inventory management system.
- Receiving and
Dispatch: Collaborate with the stores team to receive incoming deliveries, verify contents, and ensure goods are correctly stored.
Also, assist with the preparation and dispatch of outgoing items.
- Organising and Storage: Help in organising and arranging goods in the store, ensuring proper categorization and storage to optimise space and accessibility.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working in the stores area, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records of stock movements, issue reports, and update databases as required.
- Learning and Development: Actively engage in ongoing learning and training provided by the company, taking advantage of opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths, English and ICT.
- Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in inventory management, logistics, or a related field.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new software and systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
- Full UK driving licence - desired.
