Job Description
Job Purpose
The role of Revenue Assurance Analyst is really important to us. Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Operations, the Analyst will play in key role in our Financial Operations team, focusing on minimising revenue leakage and supporting the business change activities for our Fuel and EV business unit, which will include:
- Working with Financial Operations, Commercial and Margin Assurance teams to provide a high level of confidence in our completeness of revenue.
- Analysing and reconciling imported transactional data to invoice data to ensure all customer charges are being applied in a clear and consistent manner.
- Supporting Financial Operations Managers with the general integrity of customer pricing data and system generated charges across our systems.

Your responsibilities day to day will be…
The role requires working closely with key stakeholders across the Group, including Commercial, Operations, Credit and Margin Assurance and the key tasks will include:
- Process Analysis:
- Evaluating existing processes to understand and identify gaps where revenue may be lost
- Establish a strong understanding of our invoicing processes to identify commercial opportunities
- Performing ongoing robust and accurate reconciliations of the billing system to ensure that imported transactions and generated charges are applied to invoices in a timely manner
- Solution Delivery:
- Working closely with the Financial Operations Managers and IT team to find a resolution for identified revenue gaps and implementing controls for ongoing monitoring
- Seek out knowledge and training in business systems and processes to be able implement corrections and fixes
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by “turning over rocks” to discover new opportunities for revenue assurance across the Fuel and EV business unit
- Creating efficiencies and process improvements through standardisation; minimising off system processes, increasing controls and automation
- Support the senior finance management team with ad hoc projects
- Data Insight Extraction:
- Utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to work with high volume and complex data sets, deriving actionable insights that support revenue assurance initiatives
- Identify and implement tooling to aid the identification of situations which require attention
- KPI and Financial reporting:
- Setup a suite of Revenue Assurance KPIs and track the realised benefits from assurance initiatives.
- Support the department with ad hoc reporting requirements and help transfer knowledge of data analytics across the teams

Qualifications
What do we expect of you?
The essential skills/attributes are: –
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a Finance related role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically about processes.
- Experience of invoicing clients and other related tasks including experience of pricing fluctuations associated to market conditions.
- Experience of process improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools required (e.g Microsoft Access, SQL, Tableau).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information.
- Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
