Radius is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for their client based in London. You must have experience with critical infrastructure such as UPS, AC / DC, Switchgear etc.
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting the project team with the delivery and handover of Data Centres, reviewing and understanding commissioning plans, optimising electrical systems to provide efficiency, quality, resilience and reliability across essential and critical systems, ensuring that all electrical works follow legislation and relevant ISO standards.
This role is responsible for providing electrical engineering services and guidance on all electrical systems and ensuring correct operation within the Data Centre facilities specifications.
- Oversee project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with all legislation.
- Responsible for project delivery of electrical installations, electrical distribution and power generation.
- Responsible for drafting specification documents for new builds and/or any other electrical projects.
- Responsible for the commissioning of existing upgrades and new builds; leading electrical elements where required and the sign-off of electrical systems.
- Create/collaborate on commissioning test scripts for electrical elements for FATs, SATs and IST.
- Organise and attend any necessary Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and witness electrical Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Document FATs and SATs process and procedure in line with best practice.
Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering Degree.
- A BTEC, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- 17th Edition certified or similar electrical qualification.
- Ideally industry or manufacturer training in generator controls, UPS systems, AC and DC power & switchgear.
