The role of Voice and Network Engineer is really important to us. Our Infrastructure team is responsible for the deployment, maintenance and management of the environment that supports applications, services and end users across Radius. Over 3000 people globally.
You will be a key part of the team, assisting with the support, maintenance and continuous improvement of the group’s global voice platforms and network environments. In-person collaboration is important to us. You will need to be able to work from our head office site in Crewe, Cheshire for a minimum of 3 days per week. The onsite facilities are excellent, including gym, changing rooms, café, barista bar, and multiple breakout areas.
What You’ll Be Doing...
- Carrying out installation, support and maintenance of the group’s voice platforms and network infrastructure.
- Taking ownership of voice and network related incidents and troubleshooting to resolution, liaising with end users, internal teams and vendors as required.
- Carrying out and coordinating activities that result in optimisation of the group’s voice and network architecture.
- Producing and maintaining documentation in relation to the group’s voice and network infrastructure including architecture diagrams.
- Proactively looking for ways in which the group’s voice and network infrastructure can be improved in order to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Proactively researching and recommending courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels for our internal customers.
- Working with IT management to define the voice and network strategy.
- Ensuring Change Management processes are followed for all system changes.
- Managing root cause analysis to eliminate recurring support issues.
What We’re Looking For...
- Proven experience of the following technologies:
- Enterprise level voice and collaboration platforms (Five9 preferred)
- Call recording and reporting solutions
- SIP
- Network hardware including switching, routing and firewall functionality (Cisco and Fortinet preferred)
- Routing protocols and technologies including BGP
- SD-WAN technologies
- Cisco Meraki
- Cloud hosting (AWS and Azure preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve voice and network outages and performance issues.
- Knowledge of IT Security fundamentals.
- An understanding of Service Management disciplines, ideally using the ITIL framework.
- Experience of working alongside software development teams, supporting and advising on best practice to maintain performance and availability.
