Part‑time position – working hours: 09:00‑14:30 Monday‑Friday (flexible hours/TBC)
As a Commissioning Support Agent, you will be responsible for the remote configuration, activation, and quality assurance of telematics devices such as vehicle trackers and dash cameras. You will work closely with the Installation, Technical Support, and Customer Service teams to ensure each device is set up accurately, tested, and ready for customer use.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission vehicle tracking units and dash cameras via our internal platforms and systems.
- Validate hardware installation data and confirm device functionality post‑installation.
- Carry out diagnostic checks and troubleshoot issues during the commissioning phase.
- Liaise with field engineers to resolve technical issues or incomplete installations.
- Ensure each device is correctly linked to the customer account, vehicle, and relevant software platform.
- Document commissioning activity and elevate anomalies to the relevant team.
- Support new product rollouts and firmware updates where applicable.
- Deliver high standards of customer service by ensuring devices are commissioned promptly and correctly.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continually improve commissioning processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong IT literacy, particularly in using web‑based platforms and internal ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling customer data and technical configurations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office.
Nice to Have
- Relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with telematics or vehicle technology systems is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to work with software platforms, databases, and diagnostic tools.
- Full UK driving licence may be preferred (depending on if occasional site visits are required).
