The Commercial analyst role will be providing essential analysis and insights in the fuel division of the business. Working closely with the Head of Financial Analysis, you'll bring fresh ideas to processes, a keen eye for detail and a collaborative working style.
Your Responsibilities Day To Day Will Be…
- Evaluate and report performance versus planned outcomes of key strategic and tactical decisions
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to help stakeholders better understand business performance, highlighting areas of risk
- Conduct in depth analysis that help executives to make business decisions
- Build and develop analytical models, to support and challenge our growth strategy
- Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and insightful
Qualifications
- Excellent analytical skills, with degree with Maths, Science, Economics or similar.
- Would be advantageous to have technical skills and exposure to database technologies which could include MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Tableau
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to strict deadlines, operating with a continuous improvement attitude
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation.
